Post Apocalyptic Post

A new update to the concert post before we begin:

Concert is on 27 Nov 2009, starting 1.30pm at RJC PAC. Proceeds ($5 per ticket) will be donated to SPCA.

A more complete list of repetoire:
流浪者之歌, erhu solo.
葡萄熟了, erhu ensemble.
划船午曲, zhongruan ensemble.
TAIKO, percussion ensemble. (edited)
天鹅舞曲, chuiguan ensemble.
美丽的凤尾竹, orchestral.
林中夜会, orchestral.
节日欢舞, orchestral.

As you can see, it is a rather epic lineup of repetoire, so be sure not to miss it!

Side note:

Addicted to resurrectedreplayer now. XD

---

Now for the post-examination of EOY and GPA.

Verdict: Epic fail.

Essentially, everything other than Eng got lower than I expected, so in short I pretty much got owned. GPA is now currently epic fail, and much lower than expected. Furthermore my Chem nearly died. (Luckily I got that PT which imba pulled up my GPA from my epic fail CCTs and EOY.)

Math Paper 2 had horrible amounts of fail and carelessness in it, hence it probably can't be saved. (It is a wonder I did not add an extra 0.25% to the amount of failures for Math 2.)

Hence:
1) Must mug math like siao from now on.
2) Never brand myself before any paper other than Eng, Hist and SS.
3) Must find a way to pull up my Bio and Chem, and perhaps Physics.

A list of congratulatory messages:

RICO EXCO '10:
Chairman Ng.
Vice-chair X.
Treasurer Sun.
Secretary Seow.

Looking forward to:
- COncert '09!
- NYPSCO Camp '09! (Epic pinkpingpongball.)
- CCAL/ACCAL Training Camp!

As can be seen, my schedule is rather devoid of any involvement during December, hence I shall start learning some programming/mugging some stuff.

There can only be one word to sum up my current EOY marks:

EPIC FAIL.

---

Not so happy with 3 papers, a bit happier with one other.

So far that is all that I know of. Part 2 and post-apocalypse review coming soon.

Exam Updates 211:

Eng: To quote from someone: "Looks easy."
Chinese 1: Whole class went lol when they saw the questions. Guess there is no need to say what happened.
SS: Selected 2b instead of the easy 2a because I mugged for 2b lol. Other than that, it was rather straight-forward, grumbling over my 2m lost to not enough time to finish conclusion of 2b.
Chem: Somewhat easy, not really difficult except for bonuses >.<
History: LOL RA and RP papers are different. Was too tired and gave a half satisfactory answer for second qn. Definitely not going to be high liao lol.
Math: Paper 1 was ok, a few minor errors here and there. Paper 2 was a lot harder, didn't finish about 11m worth of qns, with 9m in dunno and probably 4m lost to carelessness. but not really in danger at all since I have a 28m buffer from 79%.

Die the equalizer! Die the death! Die the death! Die the death!

Die the stupid malady afflicting my comp, preventing it from successfully starting up for long periods of time!

Grah Saturday have to send it for checkup. And its just the 4th month since I bought it.

Recently some things turned better, other turned worse.

What sort of sign will this foretell? Is it a harbringer or a favourable fortune cookie message?

I do not know. Once all these are over, I will rejoice, then worry about my possibly horrible marks.

First of all, must make sure I calculate my baseline GPA marks correctly! While I should always aim for highest possible, sometimes knowing the lowest possible will make me feel a bit better.

Second of all, for sciences/maths, must make sure I have thoroughly practiced everything through. No gaps in knowledge = favourable, but doing everything at once will make it a little harder though.

Thirdly, for history/SS, must watch time limit. Must also realise that I should argue for stronger points to gain more marks rather than argue more points with weaker arguments. Hence planning. Better start planning faster and better nowadays...

Will this hope to carry on my pathetic CA marks, and hence GPA? I hope so, but likely not. MEP is probably a borderline 3.6 due to low-scoring practicals (which somehow constitutes more than the tests which I always get high for -__-). English, if not screwed up, will still remain 3.6, but given past experiences, I am scared. Chinese similar, furthermore got no timelimit compo test before, then also my pathetic borderline 3.6 CA...

Mags, Chem, Bio, am rather confident, but Physics might suffer terribly. But then again, must focus on Maths more since it double counts. Bio must mug lots of stuff, but those are probably easier to do so than the numerous math/phy eqns and solving techniques.

Hist is a bit better than SS, but the fact that I need to craft better planning skills (in terms of time and points) is proof that I should spend some time coming up with points first. SS seems a little harder to pull up right now, but then the marking scheme is a little less strict. But whatever I do, must make sure at least one of them gets 3.6, or my GPA will plunge.

Glad things have worked out in another instance. While some actions might be encountered, but at least the most important thing is not compromised.

Haha. Refreshing.

Die the death, die the equalizer! [/random mumbling]

RE Congress was rather inspiring, but I do think they place too much emphasis on the writing booklet thing because we dont really remember stuff too much.

But got to admit the frisbee is fun.

Hahahahahaha history mugging is so fun that I took 2 hours to finish that 20m essay. Real exam situation = gg.
